Call for research projects
CIMI will support research projects (over a period of 2 to 3 years) in areas with interactions between mathematics and computer science. These projects will represent unique opportunities to enhance scientific activities and to disseminate knowledge.
CIMI will support two different types of research projects:
-Projects including the support of a PhD or a post-doctoral student. In that case, applications are to be submitted at the same time as the CIMI calls for Phd and post-doctoral fellowships.
-Projects including operating costs only. The applications for those projects may be submitted between February and the end of April each year.
CIMI may fund up to 35 000€ for such projects.
The research project has to be in an innovative area with interactions between mathematics and computer science.
One of the organizers of the project has to be a member of either IMT or IRIT.
Selection process :
Submitted projects will be assessed by members of the CIMI Executive or Prospective Committee. When necessary CIMI may request additional expertise from an external scientific expert.
Organizers will be notified by the end of May.
Please note that in the case of a project including the support of a PhD or a post-doctoral student the selection of the research project depends entirely on the application of the PhD or post-doctoral student for a CIMI fellowship being successful.
